Centenary Medal – Bruno Zumbo

Dr. Bruno D. Zumbo is Professor and Distinguished University Scholar, as well as the Paragon UBC Professor of Psychometrics and Measurement, at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. In addition to the Measurement, Evaluation, & Research Methodology Program in Ed Psych at UBC, he holds a joint appointment in the UBC Institute of Applied Mathematics. Although originally trained as an applied mathematician and statistician, over the last 30 years his program of research has emerged to have broad interdisciplinary impact and as such is well-recognized in a variety of disciplines including the educational, social and health sciences. He cherishes his longstanding collaborative research with many UBC School of Nursing faculty and graduate students. Professor Zumbo approaches every collaboration with an open-mind and sees each as an opportunity to learn with and from the School’s outstanding scholars and graduate students.
