Jennifer is an Associate Professor at the School of Nursing. She completed her BSN (’96) and PhD (’08) at UBC. Jennifer’s passion is nursing care with older adults and family nursing. She began her career working as a staff nurse in long-term residential care. In 1998, she moved to Ontario to pursue her MSN at the University of Western Ontario. Upon returning to BC, Jennifer continued working in long-term care, moving into Clinical Educator and Director of Care positions. Her PhD dissertation focused on the impact of policy changes in long-term care on residents, families, and staff. In 2009, Jennifer joined the faculty at the UBC School of Nursing. Her research program has been focused on improving the inclusion of families in health services for older adults, the experiences of people with disabilities in the healthcare system, and knowledge translation. Currently, Jennifer is an Associate Professor at the School and is PhD Program Coordinator and Program Director of the Master of Health Leadership and Policy programs in Clinical Education and Seniors Care. |
